The All-CIF-Southern Section football selections were announced on Tuesday, and Palos Verdes, El Segundo and Serra were among the big honorees.
In the Western Division, PV quarterback Steven Delcarson was named the Offensive Player of the Year, while defensive end Connor Markley was named the Defensive Player of the Year.
PV coach Guy Gardner was named the Coach of the Year after leading the Sea Kings to the Western Division crown.
Running back Stanton Gilbertson, lineman Daniel Allen and wide receiver Lance Brown were named to the All-Offensive team. Safety Lucas Cooper and defensive end Kyle Messinger were all-Defensive team picks.
Also in the Western League, West Torrance running back Brett Ojiyi made the offensive team and linebacker Benton Shortridge made the defensive team; Torrance running back Tyree Harris and lineman Adrian Skelton made the offensive team and Andrew Irvine made the defensive team; El Segundo quarterback Lars Nootbaar, lineman Mike Rincon and wide receiver Nick Karsseboom made the offensive team while linebacker Jackson Walz and defensive back Elijah Hale made the defensive team; North Torrance linebacker Mique Juarez made the defensive team; and Lawndale’s Chris Murray made the defensive team as a punter.
In the Pac-5, Serra quarterback Khalil Tate made the offensive team, while Serra linebacker John Houston and linemen Rasheem Green and Oluwole Betiku made the defensive team.
