Sophomore quarterback Armani Rodgers threw for 186 yards and a touchdown after completing 12-of-27 attempts and host Culver City defeated Inglewood, 16-7, in a crucial Ocean League game.
Donovan Davis added a 53-yard scoring run for Culver City (3-4, 2-0). Culver City host two-time defending Ocean League champion Friday.
Inglewood fell to 3-4 overall and 1-1 in league.
Pacific Lutheran 43, Upland Christian 26: Jon Caleb Franklin, Peter Brown and Matt Messer each scored twice for host Pacific Lutheran (6-1) in its nonleague home win at Daniels Field. Chandler Stager had an interception to lead the defense.
