Comment: What a way to open Bay League play. Expect a barnburner this week.

Comment: Cedric Musik has been flying under the radar with nine sacks. Pretty soon he will be popping onto many different radars.
4. Narbonne (3-2)

This week: Hosts Banning (3-2)
Comment: Uchenna Nwosu makes a verbal commitment to USC. And Narbonne’s rich pipeline continues to produce to college level.
5. San Pedro (4-1)

Comment: Pirates might not be winning big, but here is the operative word: they are still “winning.” Pirates hope to build off strong start.

Comment: This matchup is almost not fair. PV can start building toward Week 7 showdown with Mira Costa.

Comment: A nice win in the O.C. last week right before Bay League play could be just what the doctored ordered. Or in this case, Coach Don Morrow.

This week: Hosts El Segundo (2-3)
Comment: Lawndale is still getting used to being the favorite. Cardinals are making quick strides, and a win against El Segundo would solidify them as Pioneer League title contenders.
9. Peninsula (3-2)

This week: At Redondo (4-1)
Comment: This will be a tell-tale sign of just how far Peninsula has truly come under first-year coach Mike Christensen.
10. Carson (1-4)
Last week: Beat visiting Jefferson 42-7
This week: Hosts San Pedro (4-1)
Comment: And … Exhale! Colts finally get their first win on the strength of Kiki Flores, and the confidence should be beginning to soar entering into San Pedro showdown.
