San Pedro dominated against King Drew and Carson on Thursday, sweeping the top five spots in both the girls and boys varsity races. The Pirates improve to 4-0 in the Marine League with the 15-50 victories over both schools.
Bronwyn Bunnell and Cynthia Kelso tied for the top time in the girls race, clocking in at 22 minutes and 41 seconds. Chloe Deleon and Jael Marquez finished third and fourth, followed by Alexa De La Pena, who rounded out San Pedro’s top-five sweep.
Mitchell Marino won the boys race with a time of 17 minutes, 49 seconds. Leo Jimenez was next for San Pedro, crossing the finish line 16 seconds after Marino. Steve Ortiz, Mijo Sestich and Daniel Lopez finished third, fourth and fifth, respectively.
